P1 Merron - Pictograph

11th Oct 2017

We have been looking at different ways to collect and present information. We have our Carroll Diagram in class showing the children who are 4 and those that are not 4. We have now discovered another way to collect and present information, it is called a pictograph. We used ourselves to make the pictograph. We looked at our eye colour.

The children with brown eyes stood in a line, those with blue eyes stood in a line and finally those with green eyes stood in a line. Mrs Merron took a picture from high up and we looked at our graph back in the classroom. It was easy to see which eye colour was the most popular (the longest line) and the eye colour that was least popular (the shortest line).

Can you tell your adult which is the most and least popular eye colour in our class using the pictograph?
