A Message from the Principal
St Bride's Primary School
"Attainment for all within a happy, safe, caring Catholic Environment"
St Bride's Primary School has a long history of serving the educational needs of children in South Belfast. The original school was opened in 1902 and we moved to our present site in 1974. The school population has continued to grow and now occupies two sites on Derryvolgie Avenue and Windsor Avenue. We have two Nursery classes and four classes in Years 1 - 7. We have an ICT suite, a newly refurbished Hall for sports and performances, a Nurture Room, school library and a medical room.
As a Catholic school, we aim to establish and foster Christian values, whilst respecting the traditions and cultures of all in the school. We have strong links with St Brigid's Parish and work in partnership with all our parents. We have good links with other local schools, as well as charities, community groups and external agencies.
St Bride's prides itself on its academic record and pastoral care ethos. We aim to provide an education that gives each child the opportunity of achieving the highest possible standards. We have an experienced and dedicated staff who meet the challenges of the NI Curriculum, through their creative, enthusiastic and child-centred approach.
This website will give you a sense of our school community. I hope you enjoy browsing through it.
