“OUR SCHOOL, YOUR CHILDREN, THEIR FUTURE”
Who We Are:-
St Brides’ PTA is made up of Mums, Dads, Teachers and Senior Management of St Bride's Primary School, who all give a little of their time during the school year to help us fundraise, to make a real difference to our children’s School life by providing events, equipment and experiences for all of our children which could not otherwise be provided from the normal school budget.
What We Do:-
“The Purpose of the PTA is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:-
Developing Effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.”
We fulfill this purpose each year by holding fundraising events such as the Whole School Marathon Fitter Younger, Halloween Disco, Christmas Fair, Summer Ball or BBQ, Easter Disco and Coffee Mornings.
What Are Our Aims:-
The PTA aims to:
- Raise funds to assist the school in providing extra resources for all pupils
- Provide Social Events for both the parents and pupils
- Assist with financial support for school trips and other special events
How We Use The Funds Received:-
Over recent years our fundraising has provided:-
- Every classroom with interactive white boards,
- Development of the New Outdoor Classroom/Playground
- New School minibus
- Assistance with financial support for each pupils summer school trip
- New Computers
- School Art Teacher
- Gaelic and Netball Kits
- Sports Day Medals
- Swimming Lessons
- Coaches to Events
- Halloween and Summer Productions
- Hi Viz Vests for pupils
- Sacrament Refreshments
- Sheds for Outdoor Play
- Extension to outdoor play area
Where & When Do We Meet:-
In normal circumstances our meetings are usually held on a Tuesday approximately once per month in St. Bride's Church Hall at 7.30pm. They are very informal and usually last an hour or so. However due to Covid restrictions the PTA in recent times have held a series of Zoom meetings.
How Can You Become Involved:-
We are always seeking new parents and new ideas for events. We also seek Parent volunteers to assist at our events. If you would like to make a difference and can provide us with some of your spare time we warmly invite you to join the PTA or provide your details to any committee member or email us on the below address, if you can help out at any of our events in either setting up, manning a stall or selling tickets for an event.
