We have made a human number line in our class room, we are learning to recognise our numbers and count up to 10. Some people turn their backs and we have to guess which number is missing.
We have also been talking about the different sets we can make for each number, we are starting to realise that a set of 5 is more than a set of 2. We are also recognising the position a number has on the number line is showing us if it is bigger or smaller. A 1 is smaller than a 4, a 1 comes before a 4 on the number line. As you move along the number line the numbers get bigger.
Outside we have been making sets of numbers, Mrs Merron calls out a "make a set of 2" and we have to get into sets of 2. It's lots of fun!
