Year 5 Mc Allister :Sound Experiment Using a Megaphone
P5 Mrs McAllister did a sound experiment with a megaphone. We were in groups of 4 or 5. One person from each group spoke through the megaphone in the same voice. 2 or 3 people were the reporters and 1 person was checking that the speaker kept the same voice. We did 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 90 steps each time. With the megaphone you can hear from 90 metres. Without the megaphone you couldn’t hear from 90 steps. From 40-50 steps you could hear noises but no words. From 10-30 steps you hear the words clearly.
