Year 5 Mc Allister Halloween Music

18th Oct 2019

In a Music lesson we had great fun making a lot of noise using percussion instruments. We created sound effects to accompany the words of a Hallowe’en rap called ‘The haunted House’. We created sounds for freezing winds, rickety roofs, rotting floorboards, bumbling bats, creaking doors, warty witches in pointy hats, a rattling skeleton banging his bones, a gibbering ghost moaning and groaning, (he had a bad back!) and a horrible cat crying in the wind!! We are really looking forward to Hallowe’en!

horrible house on Haunted Hill! Wooo-eee!

The freezing winds blow cold and chill! Brrrrrrrr-rrrrrrrr!

The rickety roof has sprung a leak! Drip, drop, drip, drop!

The rotting floorboards groan and creak! Creee – eeeeek!

And bumbling bats fly through the air!, Flap – pet – ty flap, flap- pet – ty flap,

The doors go bang and there’s no one there! Bang! Bang!

A warty witch in a pointy hat! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Lives up there with a sinister cat! Me – ow, ptht!

A rattling skeleton bangs his bones! Click – et – ty clack!

A gibbering ghost just groans and groans! “Oooooh! – Me back!”

And now I’ve said all I can say, I hope you’re going to stay away

From the horrible house! Wooo-eee!

And the horrible winds! Brrrrrrrr-rrrrrrrr!

And the horrible roof! Drop!

And the horrible boards! Creee – eeeeek!

The horrible bats! Flap – pet – ty flap,

The horrible doors! Bang!

The horrible witch! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

The Meow –ptht!

The horrible skeleton! Click – et – ty clack!

And the horrible ghost! “Oooooh! – Me back!”

The horrible house on Haunted Hill was haunted then and it’s haunted still!
