In a meeting chaired by Mr Eamon Mallie on the 20th of October, 1986 it was agreed to form a Parents' Association. Mr Leo Collins was the school principal at the time. All who had agreed to stand for election were asked to form a committee. ( see attached list of committee members). Some of the committee members list have grandchildren currently in the school.
The inaugural meeting was held on Monday the 11th of November,1986 in the school. ( see attached minutes) The ball was in motion. We are happy to say that the Parents' Association , now the PTA is still going strong.
We are so grateful to all the members of our PTA past and present who not only raised much needed funds for our school which have benefited thousands of St. Bride's pupils but also hosted many enjoyable social events.
