STEM Project

STEM Project

On Tuesday the 4th of November Thomas, Conor and Rachel went to Riddel Hall to do a Sentinus STEM project. At approximately 8.15am we met Mr Duffin at Riddel Hall. We were going to do a STEM project on programming using robots to do a course. First a man did an opening speech followed by a woman called Ruth Foster from Wallace Grammar School. Then another man called James explained the importance of learning and teaching. After that we began programming the robotics. The furthest Thomas and I could make the robot travel was around 75 cm but Rachel got to the finish. It didn’t take long to get used to but it was hard to work out how long we should leave the robot running. It was a hard, fun and a useful challenge. It will help all three of us in the future. We thought it was easy at first but it turned out to be quite hard. We all really enjoyed it and hoped that another opportunity like Sentinus comes up again. Let’s hope Sentinus comes back to us quite soon!
