We have been looking at the impact of climate change, what we can do to help and some influential figures involved in the climate change crisis.
One such inspirational person we looked at was Greta Thunberg and we discussed how she decided to try and reduce her carbon emissions and sailed across the world to a conference instead of flying.
We decided to build our own boats out of scrap materials to see if they would float. The children worked in groups to complete the activity before we tested them. We then brought weights out to check which boat would support the heaviest weight.
