This was another great week in P5. In World Around Us, we looked at Pharaohs, their role in Ancient Egypt and 'became' a pharaoh ourselves. The children moved around the room learning and recording facts about other pharaohs. We looked at what Ancient Egyptians did for fun and compared them to how we play today. We finished the lesson with an Ancient Egyptian board game called Senet. We also created some spooky art to get in the mood for Halloween and had a Halloween party playlist on the go too. There was some 'interesting' dancing and singing to say the least :). As it is dyslexia awareness week, we watched videos of children with dyslexia, their experiences and discussed them. We also saw how many famous people have dyslexia including Albert Einstein and Lewis Hamilton!
