This week in maths we started work on co-ordinates and grid references. The children played some battleships to help introduce the topic. Throughout May, our focus in mental maths has been rounding and adjusting. The children have been working hard and went outside in the sun to practise their skills using chalk. In Literacy we started non-chronological reports and the children read many books from the library identifying the features of fact files in preparation to write their own next week. We ended the week with some fun in the adventure playground and some ice lollies to cool us down in the heat.
