This week our class decided to make some potions and lava lamps for Halloween. The children looked at density and why some liquids are heavier than others e.g. the oil was lighter than water so floated on top. We created our potions/lava lamps using vegetable oil, water, alka selters and food colouring. The children then measured out their potions and added some gross and creepy ingredients. Next, we will discuss and write up our science experiements.
