P4 McIlroy made cardboard spitfires and before we got to take them home we thought it would be fun to see them fly. Listen carefully and you will hear the theme tune to the Dam Busters playing as our Spitfires take off. Just like any great battle of the skies in WWII many of our Spitfires crashed and burned but not to worry, with a little glue they will live to fly another day!
