Our World Around Us topic at the moment is 'Toys'. We have been discussing old and new toys, talking about the different things toys can be made from e.g. wood, plastic, metal. We have been looking at and playing with old toys, some are not that different to our new toys and some things are very different. We have discussed how different toys work and move, some need to be pushed, pulled or even dropped (yo-yo). We have sorted toys into a Carroll diagram. We have a toy shop in our classroom and have been buying and selling lots of toys. We have all painted lots of different toys for our classroom display!
