'Partitioning' is our Mental Maths focus in P4 and we took to the playground to demonstrate our understanding of the strategy. We discovered numbered large rocks in the playground and then displayed them using rushes to represent 100s,small stones to represent 10s and leaves to represent 1s. Every child can now partition using 'Place Value' ?
