On Thursday P2 O’Prey had fun with ice. First on Tuesday Mrs O’Prey filled balloons with water and put them in the freezer. The children predicted the water would freeze and turn to ice. They were right. The children got into groups of 3 and looked at the lumps of ice. Then they guessed what would happen when you pour salt on it. Most predicted it would melt. The children were right. They learnt salt makes ice melt and it melts faster if you move it around.
