Last week 16 very lucky Year 6 pupils got selected to complete a cycling proficiency programme run by Sustrans.
They completed Level 1-3 in Cycling Proficiency.
Laura said, “We learnt that you have to stop and give way if you are coming off a side road.”
Eimear said, “We learnt how to turn round corners without being hit by a car!”
Adam learned the proper way to mount a bike. “You tilt your bike and hold your brakes, and put one leg over and hop on and cycle.”
Ollie told us it was great fun. The best part for Ollie was getting out of class and cycling as cycling is his favourite sport.
They all agreed that they could teach Mr Fee, Mr Mc Closkey and Mr Murray to cycle more safely!!!
