In P1 Wynne we have been loving our Christmas Play time. We have been very busy playing and learning!!
Have a look at all the different areas we have been exploring.
Our role-play area turned into Santa's Workshop where we have been busy dressing up, making presents, wrapping presents and decorating our Christmas Tree. We even had some children trick Miss Wynne that the 'elf on the shelf' was here!! We were building a sleigh for Santa in our construction play and exploring ice in our Winter Scene. It was cold and our warm hands were making it melt!
We had to sort out Santa's presents in the water tray because they got all mixed up. We had to find them in all the decorations (there was no water in the water tray!!) and put them in the right order, from 1 up to 10.
In our classroom we have been exploring the different weights of presents and finding which one is heavier and which is lighter. We were making reindeer and Christmas decorations with play dough. We even had small world play which was a Christmas castle and the North Pole where we had to build all of Santa's workshops!!
